Reach Out

17 Sep 2014 ‘Reach Out’ – very early acoustic rehearsal version Save

Found you, met you
Stole you, sold you
See what you have done
Burn you, shamed you
Don’t lie, you were there
You should never fall so low

Something has gone from you
You’re cold
Something has gone from you

Walk to a higher ground
Walk with friends
Reach out, reach out
To the stars in your hand

What makes you, turn hard
So blind, you can’t hear
You know it’s not right
The power to change
Lies in your hands
Create something beautiful

Something has gone from you
You’re cold
Something has gone from you

Walk to a higher ground
Amend your arms
Reach out, reach out
To the stars in your hands.

Production Notes

This was originally presented by Carola as a voice/piano piece. We migrated it to a guitar backing, and this version is based on a single live take, with Carola playing strings, This is still the very early rehearsal recording. Live, we are likely to play it just voice and guitar, with David’s guitar synth providing the string backing.
